Custom Cake & Cupcakes FAQ

When is order payment required?
Full payment is required to reserve your date and book your custom order. Your order is only secured and confirmed once payment is received. An invoice and checkout link will be emailed once order details are finalized. It is highly recommended your invoice be paid within 2 days after delivered, otherwise your date will then be available for the next customer in queue. If you prefer to pay with cash or check, please disclose this with your cookie artist to arrange meeting up for your cash/check deposit.

May I place a custom order for a holiday?
Custom cookie orders may not be available during major holidays/ seasons (Valentine's Day, Easter, Mother's/Father's Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas). If you're needing an order during this time, we recommend submitting an inquiry 1-2 months in advance so we can try our best to schedule accommodation. If we are unavailable for your custom order, we typically offer a collection of products holiday-themed that may work for what you had in mind. You may order from a holiday collection online at theflavorcompound.com.

How is a custom cake/cupcake order packaged?
All custom cake and cupcakes are packaged in our signature white boxes and wrapped with ivory ribbon.

How will I receive my order?
We are currently a delivery service only. As a cottage food operation, we would like to refrain from providing our gated community code to hundreds of customers, therefore delivery is free to an address within Mcallen/Edinburg to Weslaco and $5+ for further regions.

Delivery is available Wednesday-Saturday to a preferred residential or commercial address.
